About Us

IMG_1875Pilling Moss Gundog Club (a not-for-profit club) was formed back in the 1970’s and has been running now for over 40 years. It was set up by local field trial competitors and has been striving to bring the best out of members and their dogs ever since. The club boasts some 80 active members. We meet every Wednesday night from April through to September for club training which is held on selected grounds within the areas of Lancashire. In addition to regular training nights, we also hold a number of excellent and well supported club competitions, tests, and social events.

056The club is fortunate to have an excellent selection of respected local gundog trainers, judges and handlers that will make you feel welcome and will offer good sound advice for you and your dog.

We offer training for both experienced and beginner handlers and their dogs – open, novice and puppies are all catered for. The club is a retriever club, our trainers are specialists in retrievers and our grounds are suitable for the training of such. Whilst the club is happy to support the training of puppies who’s primary role is hunting and flushing, we are unable to continue this training beyond the puppy basics and would suggest there are other clubs in the area which have separate Spaniel training divisions.
