Pilling Moss Gundog Club Working Test – Sunday 23 June 2019
Report from Marilyn Smith, Competition Secretary
Pilling Moss had an entry of 73 dogs for the Test at Bleasdale today! Thank you so much to our judges, Kevin Jackson, Peter Thompson, Karen Parkinson and Kevin Knowles for their hard work getting through all those dogs so efficiently! Grateful thanks to Mr Duckworth and his keeper Mick Slinger for having us back for a second year – and special thanks to Mick for mowing the rides and car park.
Our team of helpers did sterling work, both out in the field and behind the scenes catering and in the office. These unsung heroes made the test run well. We can’t manage without them. Thank you to you all.
We had a wonderful raffle too! Thanks to everyone who contributed either by bringing the lovely prizes or buying tickets – or both!!
The Secretary has an apology to make, third and fourth in the Open should have gone to Neil Appleton and Inceley Danny of Applebriar and Applebriar Storm, and unfortunately she missed it and the awards went to Scott Marland and Mike Pilling.
